Dona Maher teaches piano and voice lessons from her Norwell studio. For over 40 years, her warm and encouraging approach has been appreciated by music students of all ages.

Dona is the Executive Producer of the Sunday Serenade Series at the Spire Center for Performing Arts Center in Plymouth, MA. Dona is also proud to serve on the Board of Directors there and will begin teaching from the Spire in their newly renovated second floor space opening in the near future. The Dona Maher Studio is looking forward to offering a second location for students in both Norwell and Plymouth.

Dona holds a Bachelor of Science in Piano from Towson State University, Maryland where she studied piano performance, piano pedagogy, and piano ensemble. She also holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Studied with Jane Tan, Konrad Wolff, and Wha Kyung Byun.

The Dona Maher Studio was located at The James Library in Norwell for 16 years and Dona served as the Music Director launching the Weekend Classics Series and developing the Music Programs Fund to support music programming.

Dona has performed as soloist, chamber music pianist, accompanist, piano duo, and as a member of “The Five Piano Extraordinaire”, an ensemble performing works arranged specifically for them. Along with teaching privately and formerly as a member of piano faculties in both the Massachusetts and Baltimore/Washington DC areas for over 35 years, she has extensive vocal coaching and directing experience. Included in her traditional course of piano studies, is the opportunity for students to participate in the Royal Schools of Music Exams Grades 1-8.
